INTENT

THE PROGRAM
The Safety Leadership Program consists of three phases:

Preparation phase, during which each person is given an assignment to prepare a presentation on a safety leadership topic, to be presented to the other attendees.

The training phase, during which a three-day course is attended and which will be followed by an Individual Leadership Profile on the skills, abilities and leadership potential of each person.

A follow-up phase, during which each person is required to implement a "value change" process in the team he/she leads.

The following are the skills targeted by this program:
- Effecting a "value change" in work teams
- Interpersonal skills in dealing with employee behaviors
- Researching, developing and disseminating safety knowledge
- Deploying Safety Six® Strategies at operational level
- Presenting/instructing/ briefing on safety to employees
- Managing change in the workplace
