The manager is responsible for the longer-term management of the organisation. This training program is aimed at the management of the “human factors” in safety, from a strategic point of view – and can be further tailored ton a company’s needs and goals.
At the same time, the manager must also have supervisory skills, to best manage the direct relationships with his/her subordinates. Some skills of this program would overlap with the skills listed in the SAFEsupervisor program.
Training managers and supervisors in the skills of proactive human risk may have been a serious oversight in our training strategies of the past.
It is about the most fundamental skills a manager must have:
Managing dynamic human safety systems
Managing organisational change
Ensuring safety motivation of subordinates
Ensuring optimal team performance and output
Safety/risk management techniques and skills
Legislative and Duty of care issues
The program is a 2 day training course
A maximum of 12 participants can be accommodated, due to the intensity of the program.
It is facilitated by a SAFEmap consultant.
It requires attendees to complete a pre-course questionnaire of him/herself and members of their teams to complete short questionnaires.
