Marius holds a BA and a BA (Honours) in Demography and Resource Planning and is currently enrolled to commence his M: Phil degree from July 2007.
He worked as a Community Liaison Officer which included extensive marketing of the Population Development Programme, developing strategies for expansion and also training of clients and colleagues on demographic and planning realities.
He worked as a Deputy-Director in the Directorate: Strategic Management and Training Support. He provided directional and strategic support by way of structured strategic management support reports and formal feedback. He managed the Project Management Support and Training sub-directorate and was responsible for all training, liaison, and administrative, as well as financial management.
He held the position of Private Secretary to the Deputy-Minister of Home Affairs and Regional Affairs in South Africa, where he performed an overall support role in managing the responsibilities of the deputy ministry.
From 1 March 2002 he held the position of Manager: Outlying Areas at The Voice Clinic. The Voice Clinic is a communication skills training and consulting company, specialising in vocal skills, presentation skills, business writing skills and also customer service programmes enhancement. He was responsible for marketing, sales, liaison and administration as well as training
From August 2006 he held the position of Manager: Business Information and Consulting Support (BICS), at Deloitte Consulting.
At SAFEmap North America he holds the position of Operations Manager, responsible for the development and deployment of business practices and for the following:
· Deployment of SAFEmap COACH Courses
· Conducting and managing e-Profile surveys
· Conducting X-Ray accident analyses
· Facilitation of strategic safety review processes
